This journey through Cairo, El Minya, and Assiut follows the sacred route of the Holy Family in Egypt while exploring the country’s rich Christian and ancient heritage. Itinerary
Day 1
Cairo
- Arrival at Cairo International Airport, meeting and assistance by our qualified representative. - Transfer by deluxe coach to your hotel for check-in. - Evening free at leisure. - Overnight at hotel.
Day 2
Cairo
- Breakfast at hotel. - Proceed to a full day visit of the Hanging Church, Coptic Museum, Church of St. Sergius, Babylon Fortress and the Church of Holy Virgin Mary in Maadi including lunch at local restaurant. - Overnight at hotel.
Day 3
Cairo
- Breakfast at hotel. - Proceed to the visit of the Pyramids, Sphinx, Egyptian Museum and Khan El Khalili bazaars including lunch at local restaurant. - Overnight at hotel.
Day 4
Cairo / Samalout / El Minya
- Breakfast at hotel and check-out. - Proceed by road in deluxe coach to Samalout (230 km - 04 hrs.) - Arrival Samalout, visit the Monastery of Virgin Mary at top of Gabal El Teir beside the Nile including lunch at restaurant at hotel. - Transfer after the tour to El Minya and check-in at hotel. - Dinner and overnight at hotel.
Day 5
El Minya / Assiut
- Breakfast at hotel and check-out. - Leave Samalout by road towards Assiut. - Visit Ben Hassan (65 km – 01.15 hrs.) and El Muharraq Monastery (80 km – 02 hrs.) - Proceed to Assiut by road (60 km – 01.30 hrs.) - Arrival at hotel and check-in, followed by lunch at hotel. - Dinner and overnight at hotel in Assiut.
Day 6
Assiut / Cairo
- Breakfast at hotel and check-out. - Proceed by road to visit Dronka Monastery (40 km – 1.30 hrs.) including lunch. - Transfer back by coach to Cairo (390 km – 05 hrs.) - Arrival Cairo and check-in at hotel. - Overnight at hotel.
Day 7
Cairo
- Breakfast at hotel. - Start a half day visit of Virgin Mary’s tree & Holy Family Church in Matareya (30 km – 01 hr.) including lunch at local restaurant. - Overnight at hotel.
Day 8
Cairo / Final Departure
- Breakfast at hotel. - Check-out and transfer to Cairo International Airport for final departure.
